How To Promote an eBook FOR F.REE
«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»
A.dvertising and
getting your name out there is expensive. Period. Whether your
just starting out or have been in the business for years your
looking for ways to make advertising f.ree. I have developed a
few successful ways to make advertising and basic promotion to be
fr.ee.
Write an eBay Guide
No your not
writing a guide to eBay. Its a small guide you sell on ebay.
Make the delivery instructions say that you'll email them the guide.
After they pay for it, you will email it to them and as a bonus you
get to put a link to your site in the email. This is not only
free but you make money. Also since you technically did
business with them you have the right to send them more information.
Personally I put a disclaimer at the end of my ebook saying that by
purchasing the book they give me the right to add them to my mailing
list. Of course along with that I give them instructions to
opt-out. I also have a link to opt out in my newsletter
itself. The guidelines for writing and selling the guide
are fairly easy. Find a topic that sells. Whatever you write
about don't write about making money on the internet. There
are too many guides on ebay for that already and yours will be lost
in the shuffle. Find a topic that relates the the book you are
promoting. If your ebook is about making money on the internet
write about a.dvertising or something else similar. Make it
have quality. My eBay eBook is 12 pages long and is full of
information on how to get gold in an online site GaiaOnline(.its
similar to a video game). If you were to check my feedback I don't
have any bad feedback for it. If one person thinks your guide
was a waste of money then you will lose alot of sales. Finally
and this is important. Sell the book for $0.99 no higher.
It won't sell otherwise because people on ebay are cheap, however
they are only cheap when buying something on ebay.
NOTE: Your going to need a paypal account if you don't already
have one.
Ezine A.dvertising
Ok
so you sold your eBay guide for about two weeks and in the first two
weeks you added about 60 people to your mailing list (these were my
results). You made after ebays cut and paypals cust
$0.53/guide x 60 guides is $31.80. But you want your business
to grow faster. Now your going to take that money and reinvest
it in some ezine advertising. There are many ways to locate
ezines. Personally I just registered myself to a directory.(yes
unfortunately it will cost money) and then whenever I need an ezine
I just search the directory. If you want to do this for free
just search google. $31.80 can get you about two top ads in
two e.zines that have a circulation of about 20,000 or more people I
would say.(depends on the e.zine and discounts they offer.
Thats 40,000 people who now know your site exists and you never
invested a penny.
Google for f.ree??
After I spent some money in advertising
in ezines I decided google is what everyone was talking about so I
needed to start my adwords campaign. I sell on an average of
2-3 guides a day now(I said 60 for two weeks because thats the first
two weeks when hype is up for a new guide). So I set up a google ad
and set the limit to $1.59/day. Yes its a low budget but I
wanted to promote my site for free remember. Now every day I
get about 5-10 people to view my site and it doesn't cost me
anything.
Articles
This last one is probably the best of the
four if done correctly. Simply write an article about a topic
relating to your e.book. Then submit the article everywhere
possible that relates to your e.book. For example if you are selling a
weight loss e.book then you might want to write an article about the
top five exercises you should be doing every day. Or maybe even
take some information form the guide itself(.assuming you have the
rights to). Then submit that guide to an e.zine that is looking
for articles for their health newsletter. Again you may need to
register to a directory, however in a matter of days you could have
your article viewed by 1,000,000 people. Of course this would mean
submitting it a number of e.zines. The last option with articles
is that after you have written 10-15 of them you can sell them as a
"Collection" of articles on eBay for $0.99. This only
works if the articles are all about the same topic though.
Conclusion
Doing all of this is going to take about a month on
average. Remember you have to reasearch your topics.
Writing articles and mini eBooks is no easy task, people will get
agree if the quality is not good even if your giving it away for free.
It would obviously be easier just to spend $5000.00 on co-registration
or at least a couple hundred on google adwords but if you want to do
it for free this is the way to go it just takes a little more time.
Now you may be thinking "How is 5-10 people a day going to help
me at all, I'm just going to write articles." There are two
reasons to do all of these techniques and not just the ones that get
more traffic. 1) 1010 people is better than 1000 people.
2) Writing "Successful" articles and ads is very difficult
and time consuming. Its much easier to please an eBay crowd or
write a 3 line google ad. Creating an ad that people will click
on in an ezine or an article people actually want to read is much more
difficult. Of course that's why your doing it all for fr.ee so
that trial and error isn't an issue.
