A warm welcome to all of our New
Subscribers.
I purposely published an article today about creating
effective ezine ad campaigns. And I did this for a good reason.
Did you know that ezine advertising is the most productive and
responsive type of advertising on the net? Sure there are no
guarantees with any type of advertising. But this kind of advertising
is very affordable. Just remember one thing. If you don't advertise
properly, you may as well close up shop. Sorry to be brutal about it,
but it is the truth.
While I have your attention, I have a question for you. I am running a
survey. I would like to know if you advertise online. If you do, what type

12 keys to successful Ezine ad campaigns

1) Headline. It is the most important thing in your ad.
It must grab the reader’s attention immediately.
After all you only have few seconds.
If there is no catch for the reader it will pass it in a second.
2) What’s in it for me?
Another extremely important factor for ad campaign success.
Do not describe features. Use benefits.
What they will gain for your product or service.
They will not focus on features. Period.
3) Length. Longer is not always the better.
People are tired to read endless ads, newsletters e.t.c.
Remember, internet users don’t have much time.
Give emphasis on your strong points and don’t write the
story of your life.
4) Free. The most powerful word, not only on the net.
Provide something free, such as e-book, report, newsletter, e.t.c.
It will make the difference.
5) Subscribe to the ezine.
Or even better subscribe to more ezines and take
a look at the ad section. Watch your competition.
See how they work. Have an idea what the ezine is all about.
6) Target. Extremely important! If you sell software
don’t expect to have ad response on a dating club ezine.
Target is the key to ezine success.
Not everyone is interested in your offer.
7) Grammar error check.
Very simple you might say but many people overlook it.
It is so unprofessional to submit an ad with
grammar mistakes. Response to this ad is out of the question.
8) USING CAPS. You don’t need to yell.
Another way to look unprofessional.
People will consider that you are desperate to sell.
Remember your intention is not to sell but providing benefits.
9) Ads per issue. Careful on this .
If the publication has 10 to 20 ads per issue forget it .
No one is going to see it.
People just leave out the lengthy ad
section and move on to information.
10) Use solo and top sponsor ads.
Free is good but there is an amazing response
on these kind of ads. Research estimates
about 5% to 12% ad response.
You will not find anywhere else that kind of rate.
Even if you are on a shoe string budget there
are so many bargains out there.
11) Track your ads.
Suppose you have 6 ads running and
you have sign ups from one, how would you
know which is the “golden” one? Track those using
special codes or even better if you can
afford it use tracking software or services .
They will help a lot.
12) Follow publisher’s guidelines .
Do not extemporize. Follow the rules.
Ezine publishers have specific reasons for using them.

Print Problems
If, after printing a document, you notice that your printer
is missing some text, or perhaps not coloring or filling
correctly, before replacing the cartridge, do three things:
1) Clean your cartridge. Depending upon your printer and version
of Windows, you may need to search for this capability but it
is usually located within the printer's properties menu.
2) Align your printer. This function should be somewhere within
the same vicinity as the 'Cleaning' function.
3) Clean your printer. If there is dust or pieces of paper
floating around, this may be inhibiting the printer's
function. Gently vacuum them out of the printer. Do not use
cleaning agents on your printer. Read your printer's owner's
manual for suggestions.
