I don't know what to call it. It is not an anniversary of
a tragedy that took place 2 years ago on this very day.
The word anniversary makes it seem like a celebration.
Today is a day we need to look back, even just for moment
and remember the tragedy that struck our country. Though,
very painful as it is to look back on that tragic day, we need
to remember how it effected us. It brought our country together,
and it strengthened the bond within each of us. Regardless of
what race, color, or creed, we came together and stood strong
for our country. And for that, we must remember 2 years ago
today, September 11, 2001.

The end of summer is drawing near. So what does that
mean to us home and small business owners?
SEASON is HERE. The height of season. It is now crunch
time and we have to work on getting our businesses into
an a*dvertising in order to start raking in the big bucks.

The BIG Scary Picture

It is 8:55am on Monday morning. I am sitting
in my car on the highway in bumper to bumper
traffic. Late again to work. Now, I have to stay
late to make up the time because of this darn
traffic jam. On the radio the DJ announces that
3 people just hit the 42 million dollar lottery
jackpot. Well, that is 3 people that will not have
to sit in traffic jams 5 days out of the week. How
lucky. But all it is, is LUCK. The chances that
would ever happen to me is 16million to 1. Not
much of a chance there, so no sense in day dreaming
about it.

I am 38 years old. I have been living the 9 to 5 nightmare
for 16 years and I only have 29 more years to go. And then
I get to live on a fixed income and look forward to the days
of Early Bird Specials and dinner at 4:30 in the afternoon.

Is that what I am living for? Is that why I put up with this
9 to 5 Ratrace? There has to be something better out there,
because the thought of doing this for another 29 years and
spending 3 hours a night with my kids, is nothing short of
a SCARY NIGHTMARE!

Is this the scenario that too many of us are destined for?

This is a BIG SCARY PICTURE of a life that many
people get to look forward to, or NOT. But with technology
today, it does not have to be this way. There is
a way out. And I am not talking about gambling
your money away on a chance to win the state
lottery. I am talking about a home business.
Something that was not achievable 20 years
ago, and is becoming more and more realistic
to many people who live in that 9 to 5 Ratrace.

The realm of possibilities exist in each of us. It is hard, it
is scary, but it is POSSIBLE. The choice is
ours. Turn your life in a direction that involves risks, chances,
and a future you can look forward to.

Home Businesses on the internet have been stereo-typed
into a reputation of sc*ms, schemes, and frauds. And
there are alot out there. However, a Home business is exactly what it says.
YOUR Business. You create it, you build it, and you OWN it.
The only sc*ms and schemes people get involved with are someone elses.
We are all smart people. I think we can all smell a rat.
And the rats are only a small fraction of what the internet is about.
There are millions of legit home businesses
that are honest and successful. And you could and should be one of them.

Start building-- Plan and Plunge! And never feel that you
are stuck in the mud with nowhere to go. Get out of that
daily traffic jam and do something you can smile about at the end
of the day. We have options. We have chances. We have a future.

"Test Your Floppy, and CD, Disk Drives"

It's easy to test a CD or DVD dive.

Just load a disk into the drive and see if it plays:-)

Listen for any grunts, unusual grinding or noises from the
mechanism. If it's unusually noisy, trouble may be just around
the corner.

All PCs can play Music CDs.

To see if it's working OK drop a CD into the drive and it should
play automatically.

To stop it from playing press the eject button. You may also have
to close the program on the screen by clicking the close (X)
button.

To test your Floppy Drive...

Click on 'Start'

Programs

Windows Explorer.

Quicker still is RIGHT click on Start, and click 'Explorer.

NOTE; This is WINDOWS Explorer and not to be confused with
INTERNET Explorer - your default browser.

At the top of the left hand panel is a label 'All Folders'
Open it and click on 3.5 Floppy.

If there's no 'All Folders' showing. go to the top and you'll see
the 3.5 Floppy button there.

Click on it.

Your Floppy Disk light will come on, and you'll hear the drive
clunking away.

A few seconds later a window will appear saying 'The Drive Is Not
Accessible'. That's good news because all it means is that it's
working OK but there's no disk installed in your drive.

You can repeat the procedure by clicking on all the disk drives
in Explorer and repeating the process. If you haven't installed
any disks you'll get the same message.

NOTE; If any of the various Drive's lights do not illuminate,
contact your dealer. It could mean a simple fix, or drive
replacement.
