Hello Exchangers,
A "Warm Welcome" to all our new subscribers.
I don't know what is wrong with me lately.
Normally I go to bed at 11pm and I am up at 6am.
Lately, I literally jump out of bed at 7am, start
the coffee and rush around like a maniac in order
to get my son ready for school. And there is nothing
worse than having to rush in the morning. I like to sit
at my computer, when everyone is sleeping, with my
cup and java. I relax, check my email and do my
correspondence. NOT this past week or two.
So last night I went to bed at 9:30pm.
I was wide
awake at 6:30 this morning. It was so nice to have time
in the morning to do my stuff. But, boy that is having to
go to bed real early! I like staying up to watch the news
and stuff. My inner alarm is broken. So I guess until
it is fixed, I better get used to the early bedtime. At least
my son doesn't complain at bedtime. I go too. lol :)
Now, enough of my babble. I need

Freddie Feature and Bonnie Benefit sign up
as
new distributors for the Whatchmacallit Widget Company.
The Company announces a contest
for the distributor who both sells the most
Whatchmacallit Instigators, their new high tech
product, and sponsors the most new distributors.
Freddie and Bonnie attack this challenge
with
the zest found only in brand new distributors.
Freddie devours the information he can
find on
the Company, then blasts the Internet Safelists
and Classified Ad sites with his ads announcing:
"Whatchmacallit Instigator, 3 years
in the making
New High Tech Product Revolutionary 12X3
Matrix Rotating Compensation Plan CEO, Bill
Blotchy, formerly with the XYZ Company
Hurry, Get in on Top"
Freddie sits at his computer and waits for
the
responses and waits and waits and waits and . . .
Bonnie orders the product. When it arrives
she
follows the instructions and tries it out. She thinks
awhile, then writes her ad and sends it her paid
safelists.
"I couldn't believe what the company
was saying
about their new Whatchmacallit Instigator, so I
tried it myself and guess what? Everything they
say is TRUE.
"You click a button on the Instigator
and blow a
small breeze into you face. Your wrinkles disappear instantly. You
look 10 years YOUNGER.
"Not only that, you push another
button and blow
the breeze into the gas tank of your car and it runs
like a breeze. You don't have to buy any more gas, EVER.
"You push a third button, dial it to
your preferences,
point it at a steak and it cooks it the way you want
it in 30 SECONDS.
"Think of all the time you'll save.
More time for your FAMILY.
"Become a distributor of this product
and you'll
enjoy an EARLY RETIREMENT."
Bonnie is deluged with orders and requests
for more information.
Bonnie wins the contest. Why?
What's the difference between Freddie
Feature's
ad and Bonnie Benefit's?
Isn't it too obvious? Freddie has
emphasized features
of the company whereas Bonnie stressed benefits. She answered the
question "What's in it for me?"
In order to be successful in any kind of
marketing
you must answer that question and let people know
how the product or service can benefit them. If the response to your
ad is "so what?" they will neither
buy your product nor join your business.
So start thinking "BENEFITS!"
Sorry folks, the Instigator isn't real,
but if there're

Quick Windows Shutdown
Several years ago, we shared this
"Tip" but it is worth repeating
for our new subscribers, and those who may have lost it. How
would you like to be able to shut down Windows with one mouse
click instead of three?
1. Right-click any blank area of the
desktop.
2. Choose New and then Shortcut from the
shortcut menu.
3. In the Command Line box, type: Save
some time and copy and
paste this into the command line.
c:\windows\rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindows
4. Click Next.
5. Name the new shortcut Shutdown Windows!
6. Click Finish.
A new "Shutdown Windows!" Icon
appears on your desktop.
Double-click it, and Windows shuts down
instantly. I use this
myself and keep it in the upper right hand corner of my Desk Top,
so it is easy to find.
