So, to extend holiday wishes to everyone sort of puts me in a bind.
There are many different holidays all around the world,
and not all of them are at the sametime. I really do not
ever want to leave anyone out. This situation does spark
alot of curiosity too. I am familiar with Christmas,
Hanukah, St. Lucia, and Kwanzaa. However, I would like to

special holidays fall into this time of year.
For those of you who do celebrate a holiday this time of year,
I, the editor of The OnLine Exchange Ezine, would like to
personally wish you a happy and healthy holiday. It is a
special time of year for many of us. And to all who have
been effected by the September 11th events, the holidays
this year has more meaning. As noted by many subscribers
from around the world, it is NOT just America who has been
effected by these tragedies. Many countries all over the world
have done nothing but show sympathy and support for America.
So, as we all stand together in this time of giving, loving
and caring during this special time of year, I hope that
we can all take a moment and light a candle, close our eyes
and embrace the treasure of life we have.
With the economy suffering, and unemployment so high.
It is harder than ever to realize what we DO have.
Many people are living in fear of losing their homes,
and not knowing where the next shred of food is coming
from. So for one night, we will light a candle, at your
own convenience, and be grateful for what we DO HAVE:
Life, Love, and Freedom
Maybe many of us do not have much more than that, but
this is a time for miracles. So, who knows what is yet
to come.

CLEAN UP THAT CODE!

How do you write your code so that it shows up on all or
most browsers the way you want it to look? By understanding
which browsers support which tags, and using a validation
service to check your code.
There are different tags that sometimes do the same thing.
The problem here, is that some browsers read some tags and
not others. If the browser can't read your tags, it will
cause your page to appear in some way other than what you
intended. The trick is to write your code in such a way that all,
or at least most browsers can read and display it the way
it is supposed to be.
You will find an HTML Tag List at:
http://www.ncdesign.org/html/list.htm
You can use this as you are writing your code
and avoid some pitfalls. It only covers Netscape
and Internet Explorer. These are the most used browsers,
and probably includes about 80 percent or more of the online crowd.
You can check your html code by going to a validation
service like Net Mechanic. You will find a link to this
and other validation services at:
http://marketing-resources.com/utilities.html
This can be a humbling experience. It checks your code
and gives you all the errors and warnings.
Do your corrections, and check it again. You may have to
do this a couple of times to end up with no errors.
There is no reason not to have perfectly clean HTML code.
Learn the tags and which browsers support them, and you
are almost home. Then just run it through a validator.
Now the world sees your page the way it really is.
