As business entrepreneurs on the internet, we have
the misfortune of leaving ourselves wide open to
fraud and scams.  It does not matter what kind of
secure features you have, or how much knowledge
you have of the internet, anyone can get scammed,
and any business can fall victim to fraudulent
activities. 

Never think because you have been online for a long
time that you are immune to these horrid activities.
And, unfortunately it is a fact that some people
actually get a thrill out of stealing from others.

We can't stop these heinous acts, however, we can
keep our eyes open, always be alert, and don't assume
everything is on the up-and-up. 

At the same time, we cannot assume everything is a fraud
and that every order that comes in is a con-artist
who processes stolen credit cards and orders from
all kinds of businesses on the internet just for fun.
These are cheap thrills causing businesses, honest consumers,
and the victims of stolen credit cards to doubt legitimacy.

Ain't it a shame!  And it is a fact.  Let's not allow
this to ruin our businesses though.  Keep plugging
along and doing the right thing.  The thieves do get
caught sooner or later. So there is hope.

What is everyone looking for? What is it they want?
They want an EASY,FOOLPROOF, GUARANTEED business
that will make them a e-millionaire YESTERDAY
while they sun on a beach somewhere.

It's very evident that's what everyone is looking for.
How many  Internet sites do you see that promise
you everything? How many of them tell you it's
EASY? How many of them tell you you can put your business
on remote control and watch the money roll in?
How many of them tell you it's such a good
business that you don't have to sell?
How many of them tell you to sit back
and let the business sell itself?
How many of you fell for it?

Don't misunderstand me. There are good opportunities
on the Internet. There is a good potential to make
a great deal of money. The Internet has afforded
many people the ability to set up a viable business
in a very short time and with much less cash outlay
than in the "concrete world".

BUT, they omit the part that is most important:
IF you are willing to WORK. This is your BUSINESS.
You have to be TOTALLY COMMITTED to making a success
of it. You have to stay FOCUSED. You have to have PATIENCE.
You have to be
REALISTIC about the time and amount of investment it will take.

"Rome wasn't built in a day" and neither will your business
be viable in a day - or a week - or a month -
or maybe even a year. Don't fall for all the promises of
"instant wealth". Don't fall for all the hype about it being
"so easy you can do it in your sleep". The big "gurus"
didn't do it in a day, either. They had a plan and worked hard
and spent a lot of time and money advertising their offers.
They made phone calls, made personal visits, wrote letters,
did press releases, developed ezines, advertised in ezines,
bought leads, bought traffic, put up banners, traded links.
They did all those things, but by the time YOU saw
their business, they were known. But they didn't just
slap up their site and sit back and wait for you to come to it.

They still "wheel and deal" with other business owners,
thinking of new products and new ways to advertise.
It doesn't stop. You can NEVER stop, until you decide
to quit or retire. When you stop advertising, your business
will stop. Is it hard work? You bet. But when you start
to see some of the results of your work, will you feel great?
You bet! Will it be worth it? If you want success, yes,
it will be worth it. If you don't give up, will it
happen? YES!
