Selling affiliate products can be a great source of income for
new and "seasoned" online marketers. Many people make a
full-time living just with affiliate marketing. Some earn
six-figure incomes doing it. Others just struggle along not even
covering their operating expenses. What's the difference?

Being one of the top earners, I thought I'd let you in on a big
secret today... one staring you right in the face. This is THE
secret to earning 5 to 10 times more than most affiliates do.

What is this big secret? It's simple - to earn more in affiliate
commissions simply sell more expensive products, or sell
products paying a smaller but RECURRING commission!

"Duh!" you say, "But my list want go for the more expensive
stuff."

I once listened to millionaire Internet marketer Ted Ciuba
respond to that very objection. He had a lady in the audience
stand up. Then he had her repeat what she'd once said to
him, which was that her list was "too cheap" to sell
thousand-dollar seminar seats to. Then Ted asked how many
seats she'd sold to the very seminar she was attending.
The answer was more than half a dozen members of her list
had shelled out well over $1000 to attend that seminar!

For those who've never marketed seminar seats before,
they typically pay the affiliate selling the seat 35% - 50%
commission. In that way, seminar seats are like any other
affiliate product. The BIG difference is that when you sell a
$1497 seat and earn 50%, that's as much commission as from
selling thirty $50 ebooks that pay the same percentage.
Often it takes no more effort. The first seminar seat I ever
sold was from a link I left in a post on a discussion forum.
That one post was worth $500 to me :-)

But how do you go from selling $20 ebooks to $2000 seminar
seats. Surely it takes a lot of guts to even OFFER your list or
contacts the latter...

The shift that top earning super affiliates invariably make is in
the market that they target. Experience proves that it's no
harder to market that $2000 seminar seat than it is to market
that $20 ebook. Sometimes the ebook is even harder to find
customers for.

The big difference is that top earning super affiliates know that
they need to target the right customers. They focus on reaching
and communicating with those who're ready to move on to the
next level. They know that at some point, ALL super successful
Internet marketers realize that they have to invest in growing
their businesses. This investment is often for courses,
seminars, consulting, and professional services. Those who're
unwilling to invest in these, simply don't experience the same
level of business growth. That's neither good or bad - that's just
the way that it is.

At some point in their online progression, the super
successful simply shift gears. Several I've chatted with
recently revealed to me that they don't even LOOK at an
affiliate product any more unless it's in the $197-and-up price
range. Besides offering a lower commission, cheaper
products often have a LOT more customer service issues.
People who buy the more expensive products know what
they want, can afford it, and don't mind paying for it.

Take a look at what super affiliates that you're convinced
are earning great incomes are marketing. I'm willing to
bet that it's bigger ticket items. Take your cues from them,
and then become one of them. It really is that simple.

Another way that super successful affiliates earn top incomes
is by marketing products that offer a residual income. Even
