Pay Per Click Riches
By Willie Crawford

It sound easy enough.  Find some affiliate products that are
in-demand, set up a few pay-per-click campaigns, sit back and
collect the cash.  Done right, you don't even need a website or
a mailing list.  You market someone else's products exclusively
using the pay-per-click search engines.

As someone who does generate a NICE income using the
pay-per-clicks, I thought I would share with you that it's not as
easy as it first sounds.  It does take work to get a system set up
and generating a steady, dependable profit. There are several
pitfalls and considerations you have to master.

The first consideration - missed by many - is finding a product that
people want. Find something that people want, and that they're
actively searching for, and you're on your way to a winner.  People
will come to you SEARCHING for what you have to offer.  With the
right product, your only real job is to stand in front of those searchers
and yell, "Here it is - over here!"

What are people searching for anyway?  Solutions to their problems
of course.  They want to live longer, healthier, happier, wealthier,
safer lives.  They go on-line searching for products and information
on how to do this. Provide those solutions and you'll find a hungry
market.

You do need to make sure that this market is willing to spend
money on those solutions. If the entire market is all "freebie seekers,"
then you don't have a winning formula.

What are some of the things people are willing to spend money on?
Take your cues from all of the spam filling your email box.  These
products are marketed aggressively because they are profitable, and
people are buying them. We may disagree with the method, but there
is no denying that those products are in-demand!

I could give you specific products, but you don't really want me
telling all of your competitors too, do you?  Just go here:

Sign up as a Linkshare affiliate and then search through their
database of products that you can sell.  Look for things that
are a good match for your market.

There are reports showing exactly which products are selling well for
affiliates via pay-per-clicks.  One of these reports that I highly
recommend is called Google Cash, by Chris Carpenter. Get it at:

Learn from this report what types of products and services sell well
for Chris, AND how he markets them... then extrapolate that
knowledge.

The other big consideration though is making sure that your
pay-per-click promotions are profitable.  I've seen people get into
bidding wars, or promote products with profit margins so slim that
they lost money.  You can very quickly go through thousands of
dollars if you compete in the wrong niches, and try to outbid
the top dogs.  That's not the way to do it.

Website conversion, and pay-per-click authority, Marty Foley and I
laid out our strategies in a 2-hour tele-seminar we did recently.  You

You can afford to sell a product at breakeven or even at a slight
loss IF you are using the pay-per-clicks to build a list and
offer them backend products at the same time. The way you
do this is to take them from the pay-per-clicks to a pre-sell page
where you get them to opt-in to your list. Offer them a free report
or some incentive. Then tell them the virtues of the product you're
selling and pass them on to the affiliate site.

Using this 2-step method, you get them subscribed to an
autoresponder so that you can follow-up whether they make a
purchase or not.  Since they opted-in for the special report, you
now know the topic they are interested in, so you offer them other,
related products.  It is important that you tell them that you
will follow-up with them to avoid spam accusations.

Using the pre-sell method, your conversion rates also should go up.
You are making specific recommendations for the product based
upon your expertise.   Having a trusted third-party recommend a
product or service before the prospect gets to the sales page does
dramatically increase conversions.

The way that you keep your costs low, and your profit margins high,
is to bid on the less competitive keywords. Compile a huge list of
appropriate keywords, and then bid on every one that's appropriate.
The keyword research, and tracking of results, is the hardest part
of the whole formula. That's good. Because it is a little difficult, your
competitors won't work as hard at it... they are naturally lazy. This is
what gives you the advantage... you're not lazy :-)

Commit to putting in the hours researching in-demand products,
finding thousands of appropriate keywords, and you are on your way
to pay-per-click riches.  There are literally thousands of people quietly
doing it just as I described.  It is hard work to first set-up, then you only
need to monitor it and make slight adjustments. Now - it's time to get
busy!
